Default Missing sound effects

All the sound effects except for the menu sounds the spawning sound, and alerts such as when a base is bombed are gone. Reinstalling does not fix the problem.

Firstly, sorry for bumping an old topic. Secondly, I am using Windows XP Home SP3, and bought Altitude through Steam. My specs are: Intel Pentium 4 HT 3.06GHz, 2GB RAM, and an ATI Radeon HD 4650 with 1GB VRAM.

Have you tried going to the link lamster posted and installing that version of the game? Just use a demo account there and try it out and see if that works.

The same thin happens to me, but only in map editor. If I stay in it too long or test the map too much, eventually the sound effects disappear. At first it's just the base explosion, then the sounds of shots etc. saving and restarting fixes the issue, I just thought I'd mention it here.
