Frozen synapse tourney
1st Frozen Synapse Tournament
Participants: trendy - trendy11one Woken - Wok3N Carlos - Carlos98 Tekno - Tekn0 Threevenge - Threevenge Shmo - shmo55 Dougie - Dougie elmofreak - elmofreak akkargutt - arehk Total: 9 players Dont forget to put your FS IGN, if you interested Format: Everyone will play with each other 1 BO5 round. For each game won player receive 1 point. In case of draw both players receive 0 points for this game. For each round won player receive 3 points. In case of 3-3 both players receive 1 point for this round. All games should be random dark extermination mode without any changes. According to final number of participants we will run single/double elimination tourney with BO5 rounds and BO7 finals for players with most points. Once game done, post here all your game ID's with score. Times: All games should be played in 2(1) weeks. Tournament will take another week. End of sign ups and start of FST: 28th of August. VAriants of format added. Since not much of us include me even tried other game modes, first time tourney can be played with 1-3 game modes.

I haven't played this in a long time.
I'm not gonna participate to the tourney for various reasons but maybe I'll play a game or two, and maybe even stream/cast/record it with analysis for those who don't know this wonderful game.

Mods - Can i have 2nd post in this thread for results?
Participants - Since noone post here for asking about any changes, ill stand on current version. Currently we have 8 players + DN, which cant play atm, which means each player suppose to play at least 7 bo5. Maximum 5 games per player, avg 10 min per game. Almost 6 hours to play whole group stage. I think 1 week should be enough. If most part of games will be ended at next sunday, ill give 1-2 days for everyone finish their matches. After that players, who doesnt sent their turns will lose, winners receive points as usual. If only half of matches end, we pick another week. Amount of players, who proceed to play-off will be decided later. Dont forget to check top post for details.

I've probably missed this somewhere above but would like clarification, are we supposed to just start a random dark extermination game with every player on monday? and each of those games are the start of Bo5 game matches? Are we allowed to do custom maps (with mirrored option and all character starting the same place?)? And have we ruled out the option of player any gamemode other than extermination?
10 minutes per game seems a little short for me (considering I spend about 10 minutes per turn normally!) But I'll try and get through as many games as possible.

I found out, that we can play more than 1 game against each other in same time. So i suggest everyone start 3 games against same person, 18 games total. If you do this, you will be able to finish most part of round in 1st week even if you log in once per day just to send turns.

Yo I'll probably do a livestream of some of these games later this week with analysis (probably before this weekend as I'll be busy then).

I'm not able to play more than a few moves per game everyday (cuz I'm usually pretty tired after work). And each move I feel rushed to finish it quickly.
I don't think extending it by another week or two is bad. I'd like to focus more on each move without worrying about finishing games on time btw.

Hmm I think I should be fine. I'll probably be on mumble though so I can get live questions.
As for the time, it'll probably be this thursday (tomorrow) at like midnight CET (6pm EST). I probably won't cover all the games but as they're usually pretty short, I'll probably still show a lot.

Okay, im officially push end of round to one more week.
I wont be able to play and be active this saturday, but still, send me PMs with results, ill add them at Sunday. About tournament, give me your thoughts about how many players should proceed to play offs and which format should i pick. Im thinking about single elim tourney with bo7. Finals will be bo7 or bo9. What do you think?

The game has turned buggy on me. It is not showing the walls anymore.
