Default Ugh, Failed to Import PNG

Finished making my map in photoshop, tried to import it into map editor, and it gives me this error.

It was importing them just fine before I finished the map and made it all... semi complicated. I don't know what it is.

I saw ONE thread about this, and there was never a conclusion on why it happened, so is there any new insight?

I can't upload the png because it's too big. Any help?

Ahhh n/m it's only 15 megs. (Dunno how I missed that).

Here is a link to the picture.
http://www.box.net/shared/0hvvek52felm966sos3x
(Don't wait for that site to try to load the pic, just download it)

Here is what I've tried.
  • Delete left side of map
  • Delete right side of map
  • Delete stacked steel beams (extra) up top. I haven't finished the map yet so they were just sitting there waiting to be moved)
  • I tried to use the "save for web" in photoshop, but it doesn't work with a file that large
  • I also tried making the picture smaller (dimension wise, not resizing the pic, I had extra space on the top and bottom), that didn't help

I honestly don't care if the map editor analyzes the picture, cause I'll do all of the borders myself if I need to. I'm just kinda mad it's not working ;(

It worked when I just had the middle part and the very top left part.

Double post, sorry.

I think it MIGHT be a size problem.

Currently, the pic above is 5500x5500. I deleted almost everything except the stuff that I got to work before, and had the picture at full size, 5500x5500 and it didn't work.

Then I resized the canvas to 4000x5500 and boom, it works.

The question I have is, I've seen maps with 9000x2000 pixels. Is it a total size thing, can't exceed x number of sq pixels or something? What's weird is I had this working before at 5000x5000. That's 25000 sq pixels. Hmmm, this gave me an idea.... (Yes I write stream of consciousness like)

Another question I have is, can I just chop my map up into parts and import it that way? lol

EDIT: Ok I'm almost positive it's a size thing. I resized the canvas to 4000 x 5500 and it imported the entire thing. I'll just have to scratch one part of the map since it's too big.

Yes you can chop your map up in 4 pieces and just import them then. I think you'll have to watch closely for lines between the pieces though.

On a sidenote, awesome to see people still making coop maps

That's the thing, I really just got into coop, and I've pretty much done/figured out most of the popular maps already, so I got bored and decided to make my own. I'll make a thread on it later once I get it finished.

I think I have some fresh ideas on coop. At least ones I haven't seen before. They may or may not work due to lag, but I can sure try.
