Port error?

Now I'm not sure why this is doing this, although this has happened to me before in the past.
Usually, I'd just change the port to the closest numbers to 27272, but this time, no port numbers are working. Anything to fix this?

When I tryed to play altitude online, I had to install the java update. After that, when it said it was loading, this popped up:

This means your install is corrupt or you have a permissions issue (are you on linux?). Try reinstalling the game.

I'm on windows 7, and this is for the online game on your site. Altitude that I downloaded to my desktop just isn't working.

I just reinstalled the desktop version of the game, nothing, same thing.

For the online version the game is installed to:
C:\Users\<Your username>\.altitude

You can try deleting that folder.

For the port error that means some other program is using port 27272. I'm guessing you have a hung version of Altitude running. Press ctrl+alt+del and then click Start Task manager and see if there is a version of Altitude running; if so end it by clicking it and then the end process button.

You could also try logging in and out of windows. Logging out should kill all the processes you have running.

Ok so I tried everything, the deleting folder, looking in the processes, wasn't there btw, and logged off and logged back on, nothing. The error message online is still happening, so I don't know.

i tried it on another computer and it works :P

I hate to bump this, but this is getting on my nerves. Is there any other way I can fix this problem?

Try this:

1) Uninstall Altitude (desktop version)
2) Reboot your computer
3) Download Altitude from http://altitudegame.com/download.html
4) Install altitude.exe
5) Launch Altitude (desktop version)

If you're still running into problems email all files in this directory
C:\Program Files (x86)\Altitude\log
to support@nimblygames.com
