Diablo 2 anyone?

I've been itching to get my diablo fix for a while, and now that we know Diablo 3 isn't coming out till 2012, I need to get my fix by playing d2. Anyone want to join me? I will be starting an assassin on USWest, but might go USEast if there are enough altituders who want to go there.

Anyone else? we should get a whole bunch of people and then play through the game (all difficulty levels, or until we're bored of it) from the start with no joining other peoples' games or getting items from elsewhere.

If you have it for some reason then you should join us. It's not like we are going to be playing every friggin day and have schedules 'n' sh*t.

I plan on playin D3 but i've never played d2. Is it worth droppin the $40 that this game still costs (WTF) to play until skyrim / bf3 come out?

first website hit, it's $14.70, still seems a little expensive though, I reckon you could get it cheaper.

That's only for the first one - not including the expansion. Even on amazon it's still > 30 for both of them.

you can buy just the keys online at various shady retailers, did so in the past and hadn't had any trouble with them. less than $10 for both and you can just activate them on battle.net and dl the installation files

nah, one of the places i may or may not have got keys from has had a "reopening soon" page up for about two years, and the other one doesn't offer d2 keys anymore.

ETA: so apparently the one I dl'ed turned out to be in Polish or some eastern European language, so yea looks like ima buy the battle chest from amazon for $20, so not too bad. Should be on by Tues
