Looking good, always great to see new maps!
I think you should add two big objects on the bottom left and right corners, and behind each, add a powerup. In my opinion there is too much open space there. I also think you've put all the powerups too far down :/ It would be nice if some were on top of the map too.

Okay, here's a second revision taking into account some feedback received (also through PM). The heath powerups are on the bottom underneath the metal, while the normal powerups are in the tunnels. The other team-specific powerups are in the spawn areas, along with a neutral powerup in the center near the top. Any more suggestions will be welcome. I'll try to upload the map shortly to the testing server.

i like it, it looks real good. only problem might be how obvious your name is. im not saying you should remove it, but maybe do what maimer does and just have it in the bottom corner or something. anyway, good luck

Bump for more feedback. I'd love to get this in the 1dm servers eventually, so if you folks could play this in the test server and leave some feedback I'd be immensely grateful.

Thank you for the feedback! I hadn't added a border yet so don't worry - the reversing at the spawns won't be an issue. I'm planning on rotating the lower "knobs" to form a tunnel at the bottom. New version will be coming eventually.

Only immediate criticism is that it might be better to have more than 1 spawn, I'd say around 6 would be ideal. |

I kinda liked the first version. Haven't played it or anything but I like the idea behind having those open spaces in the bottom. Sometimes in the final 1v1 situation (in 1DM) a more confident player could bait their opponent into the open space. I think it would add a climactic and decisive end to an otherwise stale hide-n-get-powerup-advantage scenario. Along those lines, I too like the placement of your powerups in the original version. I'm of the school of thought that DM should be played without powerups (as the whole idea of map control kinda breaks down in DM; not entirely, but it certainly isn't an integral part of the gameplay dynamic. Also, powerups are just kinda gay). However, by placing just a few powerups at the bottom of the map, a player must invest speed to obtain one. So you wouldn't always have to be wary that a player could have a powerup. Where an opposing player is approaching from would factor in to how you approach them. This would lead to more aggressive gameplay which I feel DM games tend to lack in, especially in the closing death of 1DM. Do as you please tho, cool map nonetheless.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I don't like powerups much myself, so that's why I only have three (the ones in the tunnels are health packs, not powerups). Perhaps I should remove the top powerup. I'll think about it.
I was also going to remove the larger shapes on the lower left and right, and rotate the smaller shapes in order to make a tunnel on the bottom. The ability to have the map wrap wasn't intended, and I plan to add a border in the next version. Also I need to put a border on the top & bottom so we don't have an instakill situation. |

So a lot of times when i spawn on this map im not paying attention and crash into the inside of the spawn box and die so I do not even have a chance to try and help my team and I imagine a atleast some other players do the same thing so im suggesting puting invisible soft things on the next to the exit on the inside so you are not just dead and have a chance to recover (not necessarily not damage you just not kill you out right)

Or just angle all the spawn points individually so that they fly out of the spawn without needing any turning input.

No I'm pretty sure its like that already my problem is i use mouse control so if I'm not paying attention and my mouse is somewhere not straight in front of my plane my plane turns into the wall and my plane does not turn fast enough so i crash and die. And then i am sad.
