Animated GIFs in Maps

Hey anyone who can help (probably Maimer),

I'm entirely new to the map making process (looking to refresh some photoshop skills in a productive way), and in the map editor I noticed some features for animated sprites. I've never seen any animated portions of an altitude map, and was wondering if animated sprites could in fact be integrated into a map (either as a background object or, less likely, a collide-able object).

I feel like this could really enhance to visuals of maps, and make entirely new gameplay experiences if animated sprites could possess moving collision surfaces.

seriously tho, that's not supported yet.
