Explo explosion radius
So I've noticed that the explodet's missiles, all perks, have hitboxes larger than their detonation animation just like how randa's warp hitbox is larger than its animation. I've considered lag and have decided that it's the same with an explo with <50 ping. If the radius is indeed larger than the animation, and people are against a dmg radius nerf, then I'd suggest enlarging the animation to the proper size so that it's easier to judge how much you need to evade the missile by.

I've been thinking of suggesting this for a while. It's frustrating to dodge an explodet missile and get hit anyway.

If laser and ta gets nerfed im definitely down for a radius nerf. I completely agree that its a large hit box as well. I just wonder how many great explos would be left if that happened :/

Just to clarify the explodet damage radius is perfectly lined up with the white shock wave graphical effect.

The blast is kinda big. If there was an explo nerf it shd be the size of that explosion. I doubt any nerf on other planes would be required if that happened. Making sure explos are more accurate would prolly just lead to less players playing it overall. In tbd thatd be sad.. So many people boost instead of stall as it is so maybe if it requires more accuracy there would be less boosting? Either that or thermo would be played more cause the perfect location of where u hit the plane isn't a huge deal as compared to director/remote.

Interesting. I've never noticed the explo missle hitbox being bigger than the animation. Maybe thermo occasionally, but it's usually accompanied by major lag.
I've noticed it a lot on HC shells - half the time the bip isn't even pointed at my plane when I get hi - and Randa warp, but I think that's been adequately discussed. -Joe |
