Default Editor Glitches (Collidable wall where there is none.)

I'm making (another) map, and I use the import large PNG. I enable collision fill and the map looks perfect.

I try to test it, and there are walls that shouldn't be there.

You know how if you click on one of the collision polygons, it has a square area that it selects? Well the boarder of that square area is collidable, yet it doesn't show up in collision fill or debug mode.

What's going on?

I'll upload the map if need be.

Better then uploading the map is uploading the image you're using. Two things are needed to get the detect walls feature of import large image to work:
  • Transparancy is needed where walls shouldn't be.
  • The outside image must be filled with all walls.
If the second isn't true, the editor reads your import like a large rock. This is because it couldn't find a way inside of your walls, so it assumes you gave it an object for people to fly around. If it sees walls all around the object, only then does it assume your giving it a full level and hollows out the inside.

See this thread for a visual of this issue. If this is not the problem your having, please post again. Seeing the image your using will help.

Haha I've read that thread. (I created it )

I do not believe that is my problem though. The editor makes the collidable edges perfectly. The collision fill LOOKS perfect.

Anyway, it does not matter, I simply split the image up into 2 different parts and it worked fine.

Here is the image it was having trouble with anyway. This is a coop map if you were wondering "WTF is he making?".

That's a jpg. I don't think jpgs have transparency. Did you say you have it working, and your using jpgs? o.o

The largest maps I've messed with are around 5k width/height. How large is huge? I haven't tried stress testing the editor.

IIRC from my previous experience, the editor does not like to import PNGS bigger than 20,250,000 sq pixels (4500 x 4500 or 4000 x 5000ish or etc) However, you can still make maps bigger than that, you just have to split the image up.

The image I was using was nowhere near that limit. Probably 3500 x 2000.
