Mid-tier Servers

Hey -

So I've been trying to get some of my friends to play altitude but I've run into the problem of where they can play after they hit level 25. Many of them are not at the *pro* level that many people are in the official servers. Furthermore, many of them get harassed and called nubs as they are trying to learn the game.

I think it would be valuable to have an official server that's above level 25 but still designed for the casual players who don't want to have to bring down all the top people or deal with all the crap many of the top players dish out.

They have expressed concerns in buying the game because they just want to play casually and for fun - something that is not common in the current environment.

Anywho just a suggestion for something that might help bring in some new people to the game.

Thanks for the suggestion. We'll put up some maxLevel=59 servers soon -- that should screen out most of the riffraff

Yeah that'd be great. Max ping=300 is probably good -- I'll set up some european servers etc later this week.

Sounds good, planning on launching several servers this week, still looking for map creators for dm/duel maps:

-Another 5v5 dm (no max ping for euros)
-2v2 dm maxping=200
-1v1 dm maxping=200
-tbd offical config maxlvl=59 maxping=300

Europeans can easily have less than 200ms on servers located in the US.
I live in France, my internet connection isnt transcendant, and I have ~130ms on the official servers. Since dm is extremely affected by ping issues, I don't know if a "no max ping" server is a wise choice.

I definitely think a lower max than 400 is a good idea. But I agree with tyr since a deathmatch game is very affected by lagging I think a max of 200 or less is good.

I have the crappiest DSL money can buy and my ping nearly always is below 50!

If you are going to create a max lvl 59 PLEASE also make a lvl 60 only server!

Official #1,2 and 3 are effectively level 60 only servers at night.

Ok, do you know at what time and what time zone it starts?

Just thought I'd pop in and mention I haven't yet played Deathmatch mode because there are no servers that allow my ping of 250.

tl;dr Europe is not the only place in the world that is being affected by ping caps.

Where are you located and what type of connection? Do you have an ip I can trace? (only need the first 3 octets xxx.xxx.xxx.)
