Altitude Winter Classic

TUESDAY 27th DECEMBER 2011, TUESDAY 3rd JANUARY 2012 and SUNDAY 8th JANUARY 2012

This is a ball and tbd mixed tournament with two category winners and an overall winner.

Any team can apply for up to two modes, players can be in a maximum of one team for each mode.

There will be two double elimination brackets (one for ball and one for tbd) seeded from the latest completed SL/APL final results. The winners win their category and move on to the grand final against the winner of the other category.

The grand final will be played as a showmatch event on January the 8th, teams will play 3 ball maps picked by the tbd team and 3 tbd maps picked by the ball team in case of a tie a tdm map will be played (5v5).

New maps and innovative formats may be tested.

not sure how many people would actually be willing to play on Christmas..but everyone will pretty much have that week off from school, so i think maybe if it was a day later or something you could get a bigger turnout? Just for the first match.

I can change it to the 26th or 27th no problem.
Just wanted to let you know something else, there is no roster cap but players can be on only one team for each category, so if you wanna merge teams and submit a 25 man roster because you arent sure of who can make it feel free to do it.

If both tbd and ball teams can apply for this competition, won't this cause some complications with some players being signed up for two teams? Split loyalties!

suggestion: if grandfinal match is still tied after the ball/tbd rounds, instead of playing a tdm match to determine overall winner, both teams have to compete for best time to complete a co-op map? :P

I seen both movies, played 2 video games, read countless number of comicbooks, couple of short cartoons as well.

What Dougie said. What if we just register special teams for this tourney?Picking from people we knew who will be there at those weekends?

im not gona be able to play on 27th at least id rather do it post new years honestly opinions? (think it goes without saying this tournament should be scheduled around my presences btw)
