SUNDAY 29th JANUARY 2012

3PM EST



FORMAT: Bo5
Week 1 - Round 1 and 2 + Round 1 and 2 of loser bracket.
Week 2 - Semifinals + Round 3 and 4 of loser bracket.
Week 3 - Bo7 finals.

NORMAL APL RULES APPLY FOR PLAYOFFS

Week 1 - Round 1 and 2 + Round 1 of loser bracket.
Week 2 - Semifinals + Round 3 and 4 of loser bracket.
Week 3 - Bo7 finals.

when is there time to play round 2 of loser bracket?
or is there no round 2

here is map pool from week 1 of regular season, i imagine we can use this:

Round 1: cave, mayhem2, snow.
Round 2: core, asteroids, funnelpark.
Round 3: grotto, labyrinth, planepark.

Round 2: Labyrinth, Planepark, mayhem2, grotto, lostcity, asteroids, cave.
Round 1 loser bracket: Hardcout, mayhem2, cave, maze, cross.
Round 2 loser bracket: Ice, darkwar, scrapyard, snow, cave.
Round 3 loser bracket: cave, core, snow, darkwar, planepark.


Semifinals: Planepark, Snow, funnelpark, mayhem2, labyrinth, grotto, darkwar.

i just saw the winner group of E is up and F is down then why is the loser of E (E became at down) and F (F became on top) is inverted?

it eliminates the chance of rematches.
in this rare case, there were two upsets in round 1 of the loser bracket (SMILE and AIR won). if there hadnt been upsets, and there wasnt inversion, round 2 would look like:
tv0 vs t3c
AH vs BBQ

which already happened in round 1 of the winners bracket

Hopefully round 3/4 of the loser bracket + semifinale (in case we win those) wont take too long, last week we played more than 2 hours for just 2 matches which was kinda tiring.

anyway scrapyard isnt on any apl servers and i'm sure its not on the euro servers (which according to arr we don't need to play on anymore, but whatever) so since andy is offline i'm gonna assume he forgot scrapyard wasnt a real competitive ball map and replace it with planepark in the map pool

Games start on US APL servers and then the losing team is free to pick a realiable EU server if they want.

Due to the fact that arr hasnt answered yet (so maybe they arent ready to show up) there will be only BBQ vs Ball today. The game will start at 3pm EST if its ok with BBQ, otherwise 2pm EST.
