Default A Different View of Gameplay

I think that during a game, spectating or not, you should be able to see the FULL map, by pressing a letter on the keyboard.

Like "Z" and "X" switch to different people to chase, and "C" for Bomb camera. (or if you're playing ball it would be for ball chasing.) But sometimes when I'm spectating, I don't really want to watch a Specific person, or just the ball/bomb. I think if you were able to push the letter "V", or "A", or any letter you would choose, while you are not spawned, it should show you a full layout of the map.

So you would be able to watch everything going on at the same time. Overall, I just think it would be nice to see everyone and everything that's happening, all at one time.

Thanks for reading. Post your thoughts and Suggestions.

i think that would be good. but only if your a spec, because then players in mid-game were to have the ball and they done the CMD they could see what is up ahead of them and would seems unfair, but i think it would be nice for spec (like when you chnage map size u see thw whole thing?)

Not a bad idea for the specs... Would give you the 'bird's eye view'... Would also let you watch a rival player's common moves and flight paths in game...

very good idea, but def only for specs. It would help players get a better sense of the game and certain techniques

i have no idea about coding and the rest of that stuff, it couldnt be to difficult to add, its basicly identical to when you change map size?

I know that it would probably require a new key assignment and the coding necessary to modify the map re-sizing command... And if it was to be "spec only" some limitation would need to be added to prevent it's use by active players... Unsure of exactly how much work it would be, or whether the developers would be willing to make this addition... But I like it...

Someone with actual knowledge of the game mechanics should correct me if I'm wrong (ie. one of the devs), but I think this is impossible, as the viewscale thingy required to do this is located server-side and changing it to client-side for individual viewing pleasure would require a drastic change to the game core.
They'd have to rewrite a large part of the game code to make this suggestion possible.

Oh, crap... If the viewscale is located server-side, that changes everything... And I doubt the rewrite would be worth the effort for this minor enhancement... I know if I were the devs, and it would take that much work, I would pass...
