That looks amazing. You've had, what, 5 days with your new tablet and you're making that?

Been afk a bit, but I may come back soon to try it out.

Edit: no shark peeking through?

I don't understand what you're trying to say, you're saying I should make one map work, but all my projects are great? ....

I think he is suggesting to focus on and stick to one map at a time, instead of just cranking them out.

On the topic of this map, it looks interesting and I might pop in the test server later and leave a comment.

I agree with him a little bit, but not really. Cause I can adjust all of them, if people are saying something is a problem, I get it fixed.

I'm really trying to get a whole refresh of the maps on ladder cause it needs one. It would be awesome if others would make new maps too.

When a map follows the general guidelines of the game type, it comes down to feedback to balance and make the game fun. With the number of players we have, limited further by the number that are willing to playtest new maps as a competitive game, means this feedback loop take a long time.

If you look back at plane park's thread, you will see that it wasn't completed in a few days. There are essays of the balance on the map, and many iterations over time. I see nothing wrong with what Nikon is doing.

At this rate, there could be a Nikon server shortly enough.

Well, this map made by Mandrad.

What im trying to say, that all your projects are great, they have something special, great graphics, but still almost every map thread is looks like 90% saying how cool graphics are and 10% gives real feedback.

Im not going to say, that you should stop making more maps, but i think, better to stick with 2-3 projects and work on them, push em. You called me on test your map only once and i was in ladder game, so i couldnt leave. Maybe perform more map tests by calling your friends? I dont mind to test your map, if you can contact me through Steam.

Your map ball_atmoshpere were great(from bomber fan to bomber fan), but was removed from ladder. I wish you could bring it to life with fixes, which need to this map become cometitive.

About pp, well that old map was made long time ago. And community were even more smaller(i guess) and different.

First off:

1) Love the colors and graphics in this map. Superb. I think adding fish or reefs or other sea creatures would push it even higher in design.

2) There's still a good amount of open space near the goal, both on top and out away from it. Leaves room either for open shots or spamming

3) Ball movement was good on this map, although particularly focused on the bottom.

Keep it up Nikon; these maps are coming together nicely

It'd be way cooler if you added a Gyrados.

This map is too wide. Make some of the rocks bigger and get rid of the crazy/easy long shots. I got an 80% win percentage here so I'm not really biased.

Edit: and no reason it can't be 100% symmetrical.

Best one of the new bunch imo, only concern is that the small rock closest to spawn. Its nice to be able to spawn and then fly out in a straight line for a second without crashing into anything. Maybe move each every so slightly closer to the middle. You also have to slow down from spawn to get into the top passage, maybe thats a nice feature, I cant decide.

+1 Good map. Plays better than the TBD version.

The little rock next to spawn can be a hassle, depending on where you spawn in the pack...

Revised goals are perfect and the fishies are a nice touch.
