Can't get past UDP handshake 1
Mostly when i start up altitude everything goes well: it checks connection, logs automattically in etc.
But sometimes everything goes well untill UDP Handshake1. It just stays loading there, even if i let load it for 10 minutes. And then i cant mostly play about an hour. Its sometimes verry irritating. I have a good internetconnection and can still get online via firefox. But altitude wont work. Can you help me P.S. sorry for some errors in typing, i'm not english so i cant type it well. PPS I use Mac OSX 10.5.7, processor is 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Last edited by snaad; 07-27-2009 at 04:38 PM. Reason: added link to picture |

You may need to edit your router or firewall.
Read http://altitudegame.com/firewall?ip=unknown&os=mac for more info. |

Almost everyone has a router -- your computer connects to it to access your internet connection. Have you tried enabling port forwarding and forwarding UDP port 27272 to your machine?
http://portforward.com has some instructions for setting up port forwarding on a variety of router models. |

I'm on a corporate network and can't change the port forwarding rules. Is there another way I can fix this other than tunneling? Why does altitude need udp anyway?

Almost all data (server list, friend system, game traffic) is sent over UDP. Corporate firewalls can be problematic.

I was under the impression you would have problems when it auto-updates in that case... |
