Hello. Some of you may remember
this thread, in which I discussed happening upon the use of color gradients in map editor geoms.
Well, I've discovered the way to consistently make geoms have color gradients. I thought I'd share this information, so here are the steps:
- Put down the orange dot and select the color you want like normal.
- Put down the first vertex.
- The poly config panel should still be open. With the line for the next vertex still following your mouse, click on the new point box in the window and pick the color for the next vertex.
- Put down the vertex. You should immediately see the effects when you move your mouse after placing it.
Obviously, you can stay on one color for as many points as you like and could even switch the color for every point. This technique can be used for developing more advanced graphics staying within the editor and effects such as lighting.
