Get past the first half hour or so, and you won't regret it. Hayao Miyazaki's imagination is incredible. One of the best animated flicks of all time, imo.

TV show:

Revolution (show about world wide electricity outages, and the chaos that ensues after)

Movies:

None (ie apart from playing Alti, never sit still long enough to watch a movie, ...stupid bills...)

If you haven't already, watch Breaking Bad, Arrested Development and Community, brilliant shows, none of which are on TV over here.

Mean Girls is my favourite chick flick movie of all time.

On the top of my head, I think the movies below are great:

American Beauty
Die Hard
Dodgeball
Rocky
Shanghai Noon
Wedding Crashers
Zoolander

As for television series, I would recommend Dexter and Supernatural.

spirited away is incredible, must've been like 5+ years since i saw it.
check out Princess Mononoke, thats another masterpiece which is widely considered as the best animated film.

also i'd like to suggest the tv show Suits, a breath of fresh air it's smart fun and will keep you hooked.

Am I the only one who noticed the Emma Stone trend here?

Favorite Movies in general
Crash
Seven Pounds (and The Pursuit of Happyness)
Knocked Up
The Taking of Pelham 1,2,3 (far-fetched, but gotta love Denzel in this)
Anything with Tom Hanks (Cast Away, Big, Philadelphia, The Terminal)
This Is England
There Will Be Blood (awesome movie!)
Inception, Avatar, and Shutter Island are must-see movies
Anything directed by Alfred Hitchcock and most of the Coen brothers' movies (Raising Arizona is an actually likable Nick Cage film, lol)
Random animated, under-appreciated movie... Bee Movie

Any and all of these movies are highly recommended!
