Default Auto Join fix

Auto join itself is great and fine, but one thing I hate when I'm auto joining is when I'm in a good server, and about to go on a major kill streak or I'm liking the server and I forget that I'm auto joining. I think it would be cool if there was a 5 second notification that would inform you that you're about to switch servers. You should have the ability to accept or decline, and if you choose nothing, you're automatically sent to the server you were auto joining.

I like this, but 2 things:

If you're on a kill streak or ball/bomb running, 5 seconds may not be enough time to input your response.

That would mean a longer delay (in the full, auto-joined server) between player departure and new player arrival. The lapse would either force a bot onto a team for a useless matter of time or one team would be down a player for those few extra seconds. Say you take the 5 seconds to decide, decline the auto-join, then the next person in line takes 5 seconds, so on and so forth. This leaves a considerable gap in the full server (Dojo in the back of my mind through all this) without a 12th (or 14th if other server) player.

Yep, good point Kafka. Only ways i could see is if there was a button in one corner for the current game to disable autojoin rather than having to go back to the main menu.

If I'm not mistaken, press Escape 3 times real quick.
->menu->disables autojoin->returns to game

But thats when Auto-Join is on and the server is still full. Once, a slot opens up no matter how fast you press "Esc" you will be disconnected from the original server. Pressing "Esc" now will only result in not joining the server which is being auto-joined. So you end up disconnected from all the servers.

Programically, Autojoin works as a "every x seconds, check to see if a slot is open, and if it is, join." If it doesn't join right away, someone else may get the slot that opened up. It isn't queue based. It isn't first in line. It's first to grab first to get.

You get this feature and you may never get into that server.

I think when you're autojoining a server, and a spot opens up for you, the game should warn you and give you two options: either to join the server or stay at the server you're on. It should give you a notification similar to the ones you see when a friend logs in. Also, there should be a timer on this so if you don't see it, you're not hogging the spot.
edit2: yeah i realize that it's not queue-based, but the same basic idea applies
