It looks like your computer is occasionally becoming very busy doing *something* -- a 12000 millisecond hitch means the server process was in the middle of running when another process took over the CPU for 12 seconds. Virtually anything that requires a significant percentage of your computer's CPU or IO capability could cause a stutter like this, but in my experience it's usually:
1) An anti-virus program running a system scan 2) A virus waking up and temporarily consuming all of your computer's resources while it does its thing 3) A torrent program or other memory hog initiating a huge memory/hard-disk swap Things to try: 1) Hitches could be caused by running more servers and bots (especially bots) than your computer is capable of dealing with. You can always try decreasing your bot counts or hosting a few less servers and see if that helps. 2) Run Windows Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del) or Process Explorer (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/s.../bb896653.aspx), sort running processes by CPU usage, and look for processes that suddenly spike to maximum CPU utilization or consume excessive amounts of memory 3) Kill all other programs running on your computer: web browsers (flash/video players are notoriously bad), torrent downloaders, music programs, anti-virus/security software -- virtually any program could be responsible. When you've eliminated the hitches you can slowly reintroduce background processes until you find the culprit. |

crap then i know what it was. you said a virus scan was interfering with it? i ran a virus scan after the server hitches messages came up to make sure it wanst a virus. but could also stuff like aim, yahoo, or skype have something to do with it?
