999 ping on my own server?
I made an experimental server, using all the default Port values.
I could join my server, but the ping would be at 999, so that i'd get kicked out of my own server, and upon updating the server list, my server would be gone for a while. Sometimes it would go to 500 ping - usually, it was either gone or at 999 ping. At one point, the ping suddenly went to 0, which is supposedly what it's supposed to be for. After joining and playing for perhaps three seconds, it would jumped up to 999 and kick me out again. Whats going on? Last edited by Nerl).3; 08-14-2009 at 03:36 AM. |

I don't have a server but when my ping spikes over 999, it's usually because my crappy wireless internet has died.

Just to test it out, I made a server using only default values and default maps. Still no go. Just says: Quote:
