about SL 9
Hey!
Some of you might know me and some of you not. My ingame name is EvelKnievel and i can be the host of SL 9 if you would accept me. That is if DN dont want to. I have heard from several he wont do it. Last edited by Mr Nice; 11-02-2013 at 11:36 PM.

I do hate Halloween, so maybe that part is true. I don't hate altitude, just I am spending like 70+ hours a week working, can't see it calming down anytime in the next month or so. That is why I let people know if they wanted a SL someone else would need to do it.

What if, by some reason Evel can't get this done properly, you all wait and delay SL a few months (perhaps by the time Christmas holidays arrive where everyone has a bit more time off) until DN has enough tranquility to get this sorted out? Don't see the hustle to get this done right away.

Ok so i have a suggestion for a date for preseason. 8th of December 6 PM GMT.
I have suggested this date because i know many ball clans havent started to scrim yet and the sunday before that some players might want to spend their time with friends and family. I can move the date to the 1st of December if the majority wants that.

Assuming that there are as many teams as in the previous SL (8) and that you run this with the same concept as before, the tournament would last 3+3 or 3+4 weeks. Last APL was 5+1 with 5 teams and a double round robin.
People are always away during xmas and new years so fielding that 6 on the 22nd and 29th could be hard. The latter might not be an issue but the 22nd is probably a no-go. If you started on the 1st of December, we could have a 3 week regular season, 1 or 2 week break and have the playoffs during January. Preseason on the 24th of November. Even if turns out to be a stud league, starting regular season on 15th is way too close to Christmas. -J

Aki and I were already discussing taking over the next Sky League, but it's up to the community who they wish to lead it. I was waiting to announce until PWND! was figured out to avoid interfering with another event.

I agree with J: Start clan signups ASAP, do preseason on the 24th, and start games on the 1st. That way we'll get 3-4 solid weeks in before the holidays and won't have to extend too far afterward.
I also want to say that Halloween is an invaluable tradition that can and should be appreciated by everyone

Ok well i dont have any answer to that for the moment threevenge. And i have a suggestion how to decide a date. Every clan cptn ask the members in each clan and let the majority decide. Then the clan cptns pm me or contact me ingame. I will then gather each clans date suggestion and let the majority decide on that aswell.

Never going to be able to run a league like that. First of all we don't even know what clans are playing because there is no signups. The first thing that needs to be done (and should have been done a long time ago but had no admin) is to put up a signup thread with a roster size limit and estimated start date.
A little too late for an estimated start now, so really need to just pick a date and stick with it. Or worst case make it early and push it back a week if necessary. Easier to push something back a week than make it earlier. Bad time of the year for scheduling but the 24th sounds best, especially with the current state of Altitude. Earlier we can get this started, the better. I do think we need at least one new squad to form between now and then, but hopefully some will step up and get that moving. I would not worry about Pwned! which I think will probably happen this weekend or definitely by the 17th. Regardless SL is far more important right now.

Yea i can understand that. I was going to make a registration thread today but will do that later on since im not at my home now. I dont think im late since it was only 2 days ago i posted i could do it and wanted to give it a day for u guys. But its difficult for me to make decissions based on only a few players. I will think about your suggestions and i also think it can be good to start this sooner. Maybe we can set a deadline for the cptns and if the members havent answered until then, the cptns will have to decide a date. Until then i will post the 24 of novemver on the registration thread. Does sunday sound good for you?
