Editor jam

When I try to use the dialogues that are opened from menus ('new', 'game setup') in the editor it becomes unresponsive.
This looks like a failure to give the dialogue focus while still locking non-focus windows, as the dialogue does not have a highlighted banner and the windows still draw graphics in the background.

I've tried running it normally and as root in-case of it being unable to access config or temporary files.

I'm running Ubuntu 9.04 64 bit (latest) with up-to-date Altitude.

I hope I'm reporting this correctly, there seems to be no way of getting extra information from the program as it stops and has to be killed (CTRL-C doesn't work). I have attached a screen-shot but the quality is terrible due to size constraints.
