SL 10 Season Week 1

Sunday 8th of June 2014, Rounds 1 and 2: 2PM EDT/6PM GMT/6PM UTC/11AM PDT

Servers:
Vanishing's Ladder servers

Style: BO3 double round robin format. 1st play through of the round robing top team starts veto (ABBA format) and bottom team picks server (AAB format). Loser picks map after first game. During second play through, the roles will be switched.

Teams can substitute twice during a game. 6 players + 1 sub will start the game.

I won't be there, if any questions arise please contact: SSD, Aki, Van, or ball'n

Map Pool: For regular season only, teams once a server has picked will run command: /voteRandSLMaps <5>. The maps chosen by this command will be the map pool for the match between two teams. Playoffs which will likely be a double elimination style bracket with all 7 teams (this could change if teams start to not show up, etc.) will likely have fixed map pools.

I am going to do a longer regular season, since otherwise we would have a apl/sl every 5-6 weeks, and I rather not have it be so frequent.

Cause its hard keep people attending for so long on summer time, especially when there are only 6 teams

There isn't going to be a change, so if you are afraid your team can't make it then just drop out before it starts. To me there is no difference from doing 8-9 weeks of SL vs 5 weeks of SL then starting apl people will show up.

The random map command was really only intended for preseason. I do not think it works well for regular season with the main issue being have to try to remember/write down the map lists.

Better options:

1. You post map pool like normal.
2. I randomly generate map pools for each round now and they are posted on altituderank.com + on a SkyLeague lobby map.

I thought it worked just fine tbh .. As long as you write them in chat and ctrl-a + ctrl-x, you'll have them saved and ready to repost for as long as you need them. And it only takes like 5 seconds to do.

Alternatively you could just screenshot it and paste it into paint.. I also think that having a different map pool for each bo3 mixes things up a little, which isn't really bad thing.
