Default ball_shipwreck

Initially I was planning to start over on ball_skullisland but ended up with something entirely different and more pirate themed. Will work on skullisland later.

Graphics still need a bit of work but good enough to release the initial version I think.

It looks really great and also fun to play.
I dont want to be negative but this map and also some other new maps look like are more focussed on the theme/graphics.
To me its really distracting (dunnow what others think about this). But for example a map like funnelpark is nicely themed but also done with clear colors and geometrical shapes. And in a map like snow its all done within a certain colorway,
I havent played this map yet so perhaps its really nice playwise actually, but just some observations in general

I am fully aware that some will not care for the visuals, at least as an Altitude map. I can't yet draw well enough to create my own graphics (beyond the simplicity of maps like ice or cross). So this and some other maps I make will be created mostly out of whatever vector images I can find online with only relatively minor modifications.

I will be making simpler maps too, but also want to explore making some more visually complex maps. It is not distracting to me, but I will be sure to make the para false view look much simpler. In para false objects will be mostly filled with a single color.

Are the treasure chests made up of tiny harmless turrets that after killed reveal a powerup spawn for your team only?

I am really sick of the cliff/reef/otherone trio and its ilk and am really excited to have some new, fun themed maps to play on. I know ball_scary got a lot of hate and I get that it's maybe not like, adequate for league play or whatever, but it was refreshing and fun to figure out a new map that actually looked cool and MY GOD THE EYES MOVE

Anyways. Looking forward to this.

I like the idea of destructible elements. Is this even possible? Like being able to have a destructible wall to make a wrap-around?

Destructible elements is not possible. I suppose you could make destructible objects out of turrets. Part of the problem is the shape of the turrets though as you would end up with parts of turrets sticking out and planes getting caught on them.

Oh I was sort of joking about that, but hm. How small can turrets get?

What's the other part of the problem?

I guess I meant that is the main problem. It would also not look very good and might cause lag if you put a ton of tiny turrets on a map. Turrets can get incredibly small.

But really the fact that planes would get caught on them very easily ruins it completely. Planes and balls could also get sucked into a group of small turrets pretty easily. When there are small gaps in objects it can be a bit buggy.
