Eclipse Photos

Heya, you all will probably aware that an eclipse happened in the UK. Sadly, I was on the motorway driving to Edinburgh during it so couldn't get great pictures, had to take them using my iPhone. The cloud cover was extremely bad also, so these pics were all I could get sadly (didn't get 1 of the full eclipse :< ) Oh well, enjoy non the less :>

Taken with a Canon 1100D and the 18-55mm kit lens:

* Focal Length: 55mm
* Shutter Speed: 1/4000s
* Aperture: about F7.0-F22
* Some using a variable ND filter, some without, and I don't seem to have damaged the sensor, so yay ^_^

nice, it seems like it got really dark where you were, it stayed pretty light where i was which was very strange, maybe it was only like 80% coverage

i saw the eclipse. but i didnt wear those goggle things. Will i go blind?

It's just bad for your eyes. Don't mess them up, it's not cool to wear glasses.

Here was a sun day and it was amazing there was a red moon in front of the sun!!

I think it's the perfect soundtrack for the next tarantino film!!

It didnt' actually look like that, for most of the pictures here it was just as bright as usual, I just lowered the shutter speed of my camera and used a neutral density filter so you can make out the shape of the eclipse, rather than it just being a blur of white
