"Brutal" difficulty bots
Since I know there probably won't be another update to Alti, I shall post this here.
"Brutal" bots (henceforth known as bots) will have A* pathfinding, and much better avoidance and teamwork. The bots can fly much closer to surfaces without crashing, and will attempt to dodge projectiles shot at them. They will also try to keep out of the firing arc of enemy turrets and planes. Additionally, they will detect when turrets/ bases are destroyed, and ignore the destroyed object, taking advantage of the space left. The bots are also much better at teamwork. Depending on the situation, they will surround enemies, scout ahead, and fly as a group, and other things. Also, they will assist each other when possible, eg. if a enemy is on the tail of one bot another bot will come and try to kill the enemy plane, and will strategically choose planes depending on what will compliment their team the most. They will be intelligent when attacking, spreading out fire for maximum coverage and damage when facing many enemies, and yet accurate when attacking a single enemy. I would really like this, since playing with bots right now is pretty boring, but I wonder how hard it would be to code, and how hard would it be on my computer. |

What you're asking for is 12 humans.

No. I want humans without the "human" part.
Basically, they're programmed to act like good players, without the little mistakes a human might make. |

All this is fairly easy: "The bots can fly much closer to surfaces without crashing, and will attempt to dodge projectiles shot at them. They will also try to keep out of the firing arc of enemy turrets and planes. Additionally, they will detect when turrets/ bases are destroyed, and ignore the destroyed object, taking advantage of the space left."
The rest is pretty damn hard. Analysing the overall situation and making optimal decisions amid lots of uncertainty is something that trained humans excel at, while computers are just taking their first baby steps. And it's not necessarily hardware limitations, mind you. Right now we don't even have a good idea how to approach it algorithmically. When the algorithms do arrive... next thing arriving may well be intelligent, infallible, strategically thinking robotic overlords hell-bent on ruling the world. |

Is "butts" short for butter or is it something else entirely?!?!?!?!

It's short for Butters. Sort of. I blame ssd for all of these name confusions.
