Toto, we not in Kansas anymore

What can I say, I got inspired to draw some buildings.
Nothing flashy here, no gimmicks. I still have to do the collision outlines, but everything else is in place. I think I'm going to stick to the solid grey background. It's simpler, less distracting.

Total size right now is around .945kb, which is about as high as I want to go. The relatively large size is because I scanned in all my hand-drawn pictures at gigantic resolutions. I probably could get it lower if I resized everything again, but that's too much work and .945 isnt bad.

I'll try to get the download up in a day or two.

Looks good except for that little gap in the spawn. Don't like if there is a gap only small planes can fit through. It is acceptable for TBD on a map like asteroids and possibly even for ball if not in the spawn area or other key places. In ball_asteroids at least a whale can fit through even if it is difficult. It looks too small in the picture of this map for a whale to fit through at all without rubber, but I could be wrong. Also would not want it to simply be made a little bigger because there is another issue. Some planes spawn behind the gap and others past it. So where you randomly spawn can make it easy or impossible to turn through that hole. So if you made it bigger you'd also have to make the spawn area go a little further back or more likely higher so that all spawn locations have access to the hole for quicker time to get back to defend.

I'm not totally committed to any aspect of this layout, so I wouldn't mind changing the spawn area to close up that gap. That's how I originally had it for a while anyway. Ty for feedback

Alright, so I decided to spend a little more time on this and make it REALLY good.

So far, I've slightly increased the overall map size so more of the border buildings are showing, made a little more room in between some of the buildings, moved the goals off the back walls, closed up the little gap near the spawns and moved the spawns back a few ticks.
I also colored the buildings with various shades of grey. It looks much better now instead of everything just white.

I still need to do the collision lines, but I am going out of town for 2 days so don't expect a download or a screenshot for a few more days.

Looks good, but there are two big issues. Where you modified the spawn areas now is a huge ball trap. Balls are going to regularly get stuck there... needs to be flattened out.

The map is way too wide. To make a usable map anywhere near this width you absolutely must put the spawns right in the middle of the map. Snow and cutesy are very wide but work because of middle spawns. This balances out by making it take a long time for defenders to get back on D. If the map is really wide and the spawns aren't at middle, attackers will barely ever make it far enough to score.

To make this playable you'd either need to redo the top, putting the spawns at center or reduce the map width. Goal to goal distance is more of a factor than overall map width. You could possibly move the goals in a good amount, but that would probably also mean the object near bottom corners would end up not working well. You could also scale the map size down, but that may be a lot of work.
