Reverse Thrust and Ladder.

Why!?

I'd really like it if someone, anyone, could explain why switching to reverse thrust is allowed in ladder.

Especially if it is clear that person would rather be playing a different gamemode (lets call that gamemode tbd in this example) or in a different server (lets call that server a US server in this examples).

When does playing a stupid plane setup become classed as trolling and therefore bannable?

Too hard to distinguish between trolling and bad play.

We don't ban for bad play.

There's already enough cries of admin abuse for us to start banning over issues like this that aren't already cut and dry.

Wtf have I done? - I don't break rules. Is it too much to ask that people that do get banned?

Why can't there be a simple rule, for example, "If rev isn't part of your normal play style, don't play rev." The community is small enough that people know what planes most people play.
I have nothing against people like {ball}Anghell solidly playing rev, because I know that's just their playstyle.
What I do take objection to is people whining that they don't want to play ball they want to play tbd, or they don't want to be in EU they want to be in US, then play a rediculous rev setup.

To give a honest assessment of rev's viability:

I played about 100 ladder games straight of almost exclusive rev heavy cannon and dropped to 490 something in the rankings, worse than mulu. Finally, I gave up rev for a more reasonable plane mix, which sometimes still includes rev, bumping me to a 80-130 ranking.

I so very wish Lamster would increase rev's acceleration to make it a viable option but in its current state it is almost never a great one. That said, it certainty isn't an auto lose for a team with a decent rev player so there is no reason to ban it if its played reasonably by a player since his ranking will adjust accordingly.
