I am trying to gather some data on whose EU pings went up recently and how much higher it is. If it went down post that too. I think this mostly had an affect on players outside Europe but maybe I am wrong about that.

The problem is the host shut down their Level3 router which meant routes were now going through NTT's network which tends to have higher latency. They are trying to get Level3 to fix and issue with a router, but Level3 has not been of any help which is why they are not currently using Level3. I am not sure how long ago the Level3 router was shut down.

The host is really responsive and wants to get it fixed, but unless they get Level3 to address the router issues the next best option to to get NTT to tweak routes. I don't really see this as viable as even if some were improved I am not sure that would do enough to be comparable to overall performance on Level3. Maybe I am wrong though and not as many are affected as I thought.

I will try to re-add code to the parser by the end of the week to track player pings so that I can have a better idea without players telling me how their ping has changed.

The EU ladder server is currently hosted elsewhere as of today, but I will likely switch back to the normal host to compare pings soon. The host in use now has very good pings via Level3, but last time I tried their cloud service it was not quite stable. It had just launched so hopefully any issues have been resolved.

If you want to compare pings you can join the EU League server which is still on the host I have been using for the last couple years.

I wouldn't rely much on whatever my connection says since it varies constantly for no reason but normally it'd be around 170ms, right now it's around 153ms. Compared to EU League servers, on #1, #3 and #4 it's at 161ms. Only League #2 is still at 170ms.

My ping has decreased 10-15ms now. Originally it was 155-160ms. Now it is 138-142ms. Also, there are no more random ball teleports.

As long as it's stable it's better for me. I use to be floating around 100-110 ping, and would normally only spike when the server spiked. Now I float around 90-100 if it's stable, but seem to go up to 110 occasionally. I've noticed that sometimes I'll sit around 130-140 for a little bit then it goes back down to 90-100 again.

If it's stable then it's better, but seems to spike up.

EDIT: After playing a game it's significantly worse than the old one. I'm noticed that I'm receiving the ball later, killing planes later, and generally not knowing where enemy shots are as well as the old one.

To clarify what I want is to find those players whose pings increased significantly on the regular ladder EU server within the last 2 or 3 weeks. I am not exactly sure when they shut off Level3. If your ping changed a lot I may send your IP to them so they can look at the route and tweak it for better latency.

The new EU server is meant to be a potential temporary replacement until the current host gets their Level3 issues worked out. However, it heavily uses Level3 so in many cases your pings to this EU will be similar to what they were on the old EU when Level3 was active.

If you remember your ping from a month ago and earlier, post that here compared with the current ping from the old eu (league server). If you don't know then compare the current ping of old eu and the current eu ladder server.

So for me, the current league server is 2.0ms faster - still, more data's always better, right? :3

Yesterday i was spiking hard, 180 in EU server and from 380 to 999 in USA.
Today after restarting my router the connection was good, like 65 in eu server but im sure it was aroung 45 in past.

Btw if this can help usa players having a decent ping in eu servers like brutal said, i suggest to try something like this to USA servers!! So euro players can have a decent ping in usa servers too :P
