Thanks to our teammate, TwistedCookie, for the clan logo.

I think it's not exactly the same thing. The academy is supposed to scrim against other clans, including =AIR= as practice. They'll also participate in our training sessions, thus helping the members evolution and relation with the main clan.

Also we will recruit into the academy players that are good, but need to get some experience prior to joining =AIR=.

i too see the motive, to be in the clan, then again, not to be in the clan, but u get what i mean players excel but what is this academy business? like whats that supposed to mean. why dont u just call it like the sub clan like you said. but i get what your trying to get at. i hope AIR gets more publicity out of this. Good Luck!

I don't really get what you're trying to say here.
-AIR ACADEMY- is a sub-clan name. The academy business is to be a good clan, and act as a doorway to =AIR= while making players better and more used to competitive playing.

This might come off as super harsh - but to make an "Air Academy" so people can train to get into Air, makes Air seem arrogant. I know the intentions, but making this "academy" assumes that there are people falling all over the place trying to get into Air. There are people trying to get into: TC, {ball}, Tvo///, and {arr} like crazy right now, but even they don't have an Academy - so if they don't why should Air?

On the contrary I think this could be like another Ball clan, which we need more of so that's a good thing.

Does it matter ? The point still remains regardless of the mode - people are trying to get into these popular clans, like the few I named.

and (as far as I know) none of these clans give two dodds about another team starting an academy type team. the more teams the better, and adding a semi-competitive team that teaches newer players how to play better helps every clan, not just the team it's feeding to. you should be thanking these guys for helping forward the mode you enjoy so much, not accusing them of being arrogant. there are people falling all over the place trying to get into {ball}, tVo, etc. for sure, but these teams are only recruiting top tier talent and likely do not have the time/resources available to start a feeder team.

so thanks, GUI.tar and all you other dudes teaching the newbies how to play better - your clan is improving by leaps and bounds and hopefully this sub-team works out for you.

All I'm doing is pointing out that it seems arrogant for them to start such things - especially since they're only 2 and a half months old! Quit trying to argue with everything I post because you hate me...

It helps to read a post before responding to it also...

Ajuk your actually wrong... both arr and tvo have had trialist teams, they just havent made a clan page about it... arr had arf and tvo had there trialist thing that went on recently and ball has trialist put on a {ball?} tag (I know cause I did that)... I dont think it makes them arrogant, its just more official then the others

Yeah It's exactly how Gustav said. We're not the first ones to create a sub-clan for recruiting. Maybe the new part is that we want to make some formation effort on the clan, but I don't see why that would be wrong or arrogant.

Ajuk, as a clan leader you should know there are far more candidates than slots available, even the academy already has a few people who volunteered themselves to join, and we're examining these cases. So I would say: yes pretty much there are people falling all over the place to join every clan.

Also getting into the academy is no guarantee that the player won't be joining another clan. The main advantage I see for =AIR= here, is that we can make a better selection and avoid problems like recruiting good player who don't participate much in clan activities or that are yet a little green. Also we and them get used to each others prior to they're getting into the clan.

PS: ball* has a thread, although it is closed for some reason.

Ball* wasnt a sub clan though because ball split half its players into two clans sort of like flb and flbss which is now (||). I do really like the idea of air academy and I wish you good luck with it!

-StyGma-

He will be recruiting and organizing scrims, and practices against teams of random people.

Default FC scrim

Hello to all in the Academy,

Thank you very much for the scrim, we enjoyed it very much, they were really tense games.
Here are the results:
1-6 Darkwar (AA)
3-6 Asteroids (AA)
6-4 Labyrinth (FC)

Looking forward to more of these fantastic scrims in the future.

Peter from FC

Today the academy scrimed AH for the second time, it ended up with the 3rd victory for -Air Academy- in 3 scrims.

No hate here Dem, we love you, Ajuk, leggo and AH, all that happened was a bad scheduled scrim, much by my fault, should have never scheduled a scrim with less than 48 hours in advance, specially because the Academy members are almost all new to the competitive scene.

Next time, we schedule it with at least 1 week in advance to make sure everything will go smooth.

Yeah, I hated seeing like 7 AH members log on at 5:00 EST . Even though it was just a 4v4/5v5 scrim that I attended, fairly good scrim today. Sorry for the disconnects and ping issues. Guess that's what you guys feel like in US servers .

On a side note: How many =AIR=/-Air Academy- members are European? Just wondering because you guys had like 20-30ish pings on the whole team.

Hi leggo, in =AIR= only Nicely, Spart and Matrin are American, Suki is Brasilian and Special is Asian, everyone else is European. We didn't plane for that, it just happened, probably because we met each others in euro servers. Also when you, Donk, Dragon, etc... left, we lost most of our American/Canadian roster.

The academy iirc is totally European. Probably because of the same reason as =AIR= is mostly European. We had our eyes on some American players for the academy, but we took to long and they got recruited by other clans.
