Performance issues after graphics driver update

Hi,

I updated my Radeon HD 5880's driver to the latest version 8.872.0.0 and started experiencing a noticeably reduced frame rate. Normally I can run Altitude at 60 fps perfectly, but after the update I get about 50 fps with dips into the 40s. I can still run Team Fortress 2 at 60 FPS with max settings so it seems like some issue specific to altitude. plz halp me

Are you running windowed? Try toggling fullscreen (F3).

Yes, I've tried windowed and different graphics settings. The frame rate doesn't improve even on the lowest settings. It seems like the same issue VAN1SH1NG is having.

Try this:

F3 to open console:
vsync false
fps 500

Does that help?

Rollback the drivers or do what i did. upgrade to 6800 series. Much more stable. (see previous thread)
