A quick lesson on bomber perks

Hi peepz,

Bomber perks: the skinny.

DO use repair drone if you are a good killer; this means you view 1:1 ratios in ladder play as a disgrace to your boat.

DO NOT use repair drone (use heavy armor) if you are bad at killing and die a lot. There is no point in using a perk that requires about 8 seconds to heal you (assuming you don't shoot stuff) if you just die and don't kill.

This illustrative example shows what I mean:

DO use dombs if you are TPAIN

DO NOT use either of these perks if you need some pussy little gun to autoaim for you.

Like: Using biplane in ball? Switch to loopy/whale and your rating will be much higher.

We really need more bombers in ball. The only really good ones I see regularly in ladder and who play it regularly is Nade (and maybe Shrode).

FU. Getsome is good as well. You also forgot to mention Nipple, who one of the best bombers in altitude. Rib is pretty good.
We dont need more bombers. This perk is not that valuable if you suck at killing. I stop playing bomber because i have to play other perks, while we have more than 1-2 bombers with ratios 1.0 and under.

Getsome does not play bomber regularly. Yesterday she was playing Biplane. And recently she has been playing Loopy.

Also Trendy you're a great bomber, if you go bomber. But you also play Randa and loopy from time to time. Nip, is also a terrific bomber, but he also plays Randa nowadays mostly.

Rib, oh yeah once I can remember what name he plays by and if he ever sticks to a name. Sorry, people who keep changing names all the time shouldn't expect everyone to remember.

But if you're "infalli{ball}" then yes, you're a sick bomber too!

I still say we need more full-time bombers. We have more than enough Randas and loopies. And don't get me started on Time anchors.

There aren't many bombers because you don't need a bomber. Here are my thoughts on the planes (for ladder, obviously clans can be more experimental)

Loopies:
Min - 1 EMP
Optimum - 2 EMP
Max - 2 EMP, 1 Acid

Bomber:
Min - 0 (as long as the rest of the team kills)
Optimum - 1
Max - 2 (Provided both are killing and helping the Whale defend)

Biplane:
Min - 0 (not needed)
Optimum - 0/1 (1 good killing HC can be nice, particularly if you don't have many killing lights, or having a tank runner is sometimes handy)
Max - 1 (2 == loss unless those two are brilliant)

Whale:
Min - 1 thermo (where my def at)
Optimum - 2 thermo/1 thermo, 1 remote (if the remote is Mata)
Max - 2 thermo, 1 remote (Whales stack too well in ball, 3 decent ones can shut down any attack, by the time you kill one, another has respawned and is ****ting mines over the goal)

Randa:
Min - 0 (only if you have 3 very good running lights)
Optimum - 1 trick/1 TA (randa running OP)
Max - 1 trick, 1 TA (If both are good)

So basically, you need to have a couple of loopies, a randa, and at least one whale. This leaves the other two spots to be filled with killers/clearers, which can be taken by an aggressive heavy or a whoreish light, so pretty much any plane will do. Hence why there aren't that many bips/bombers.

Personally I like having 2 whales, 1 bomber, 2 loopies, 1 randa.

Rubberized hull would be a better suggestion lix

You dying that much you're blazed out of you mind or drunk. Being one of those 2, and speaking from exp, rubber hull is the way to go. Repair drone better for tbd IMO. Flexi / Heavy armor better for ball. Repair drone is okay perk, but in all honesty you find so many health packs in ball games. Considering there are 3 sec spawns and planes crashing every moment, you're going to find health. Even if your whoring you really don't need it, however, even if you are I suppose doesn't matter what green perk you use. What game mode are we talking about? Subjective to play style. But if you're just killing in random areas of thr map, you're really do no good for a team if you priority isnt around a ball or bomb. I'm more aggressive and like to make hits/goals so imma pretty much pull 1:1 until the loopy inside me dies off. Imma inspired now to go 2:1

i try my hardest to avoid suggesting rubber hull or flexi wings - i will note that when i started laddering, i used rubber bomber and was extraordinarily awesome. caveat:i used the rubber bomber BEFORE the dual nerf that rendered that plane near obsolete: (1) bomber turning radius increased, (2) increased damage taken from explodets by rubber hull [worst development in this game, ever]...

so really, a rubber bomber isn't really useful anymore

Unfortunately for you, the buff to explodets against rubber hull was made back in Dec 2009, way before you started playing it in ladder. This means you were ALWAYS playing with rubber hull that were especially vulnerable to explodets.

Repair in ball is quite useless, there are enough health packs to keep you alive as long as you want, definitely if you are killing 1:1 or better.

also flak and suppressor are map dependent imo.

I agree with you Rib, that's pretty much the exact ideal plane setup I'd go for too (not taking into account map-specific alterations).

You're right that it's not 100% a necessity for a bomber given the other plane compositions work. Would still be nice to see some bombers though

To solve this problem play bomber couple rounds. You will get 1 or 2 bombers, maybe even 3 every match you in as bomber. And every 2 of 3 games those "bombers" can play only bomber.

Anyways, FU to all the suppressor haters. People forget how far suppressor goes, and that's the huge advantage it has over flak. They are both good. Flak is better if the other team has killing loopies that want your ass dead; otherwise I prefer suppressor.
