Default Final Procession of your mortal lives

If you were not aware, we were in the middle of a procession in space. The next one will be in 120 years from now and it was spread over three days from 24/03/2012 to 27/03/2012.

What is a procession? (astromany)
Well, in astromany we call a 'procession' a change in the axis of the earth where it is now rotating to a different point than it was three days ago. During these three days of the astro processoin, we were lined up with certain planets and a satellite: Moon followed by Jupitar and Venus.

As i have already mentioned, this will only happen again in 120 years so i was thrilled to see it over these three days, so i took some pictures of it on the last day. In my opinion, the last day is the worst, the planets were so far apart and it was hard to take a picture and often turned out faded or the moons cresent wasnt shown. So as man people say, it is better to see it for real than on pictures.

Here are my awful pictures of the Procession plus i sneaked in the Orion Nebula for some fun.

^Orion Neblua. Do you see the belt of Orion? (the stream of three stars going horizontal)

^Just to see what im getting at with the orion nebula

I have made taken many pictures and these one seem to be the best even though they are pretty crude. Enjoy these.

#1 pic is great. Wish I'd have gotten a pic of what we saw here...

From our vantage point, and if you observed during the right hour, you would have seen the moon as it passed between Venus & Jupiter... Moon was alittle orange in color (due to the amount of atmosphere diffusing the light)and passing directly between our sister planet and Jupiter.

-1 for me... No pic.

Of course, just not now. Our axis change is basically over. There will be some increased solar activity over the next year. (Sun is in it's '11th' year hot phase.) No Doomsday just yet.

Yes but before the sun will explode there is another worry. But i wouldnt worry about it because even though i would love to see this, it would not ever happen in our life time. Has anyone here ever though outside our solar system? well recent research shows that our nearest galaxy to the milky way (andromeda galaxy) is on a collision course with our galaxy.

There is a theory out that at the center of every galaxy, is a black hole. Hence why every galaxy has solar systems and suns spinning around its center. So if Andromeda's galaxy were to collide with our one, the earth could either be sucked into its black hole, or be pushed out of our solar system and away from the sun, or be pushed into our sun or even be hit by other suns and planets. Either way, this WILL be the dooms day because anything could happen, and non of the stufff that will happen is posative.

Im sorry to bring a downer on this thread but it is very intresting because we will be dead when it starts to merge into our galaxy. We can observe this macnificent galaxy and learn more about it

If you have any questions or queries about what i have said, please post here

We could be the victim of a Gamma Ray Burst at any moment, which would obliterate the entire earth. We'd also have no way of telling if one was coming or not.

A precession, or 'wobble,' of the Earth's axis, is occurring constantly with a period of roughly 26000 years. In other words, the axial tilt is always "rotating to a different point than it was three days ago." It's what's responsible for the change in the orientation of stars. Most recently this has a 13th sign of the zodiac into view. We call him Ophiucus, the snake bearer.

What you're referring to is a conjunction, which is just a relative term that means two or more celestial bodies appear close to one another in our night sky. This particular conjunction of the Moon, Venus (the big white one), Jupiter (the smaller yellowish one), and more recently the Pleides, has been going on for about a month now but the 3 main constituents are rapidly diverging. It has certainly been the most spectacular conjunction I've ever witnessed in my short life though. Enjoy while you can and nice pix fluff.

To anyone wondering, that's not true.

1) Earth's orbit is elliptical and the distance from the sun varies form around 147 km to 152 million km on any given year.

2) Every star has a habitable zone that is affected by the size of the star and its intensity. The Sun's habitable zone is about 0,95 AU to 1,37 AU. An AU is the Earth's average distance from the Sun, 93 million miles, so Earth's orbit could decrease by 4,500,000 miles or increase by 34,000,000 miles and still be in the habitable zone.

3) If your claim was true any moderately sized earthquake could take us out of the habitable zone.

Sorry.

I thought the precession is a movement of the earth that happens every 13 000 years and the axis change position, so the north star every 13 000 years changes, from Polar star to Vega star

I prefer talking about economy and politic, it'sad to think about what are we in confront of everything that came and will come
