Has Altitude ever successfully launched on that machine or have you always seen that message?

Try rebooting your computer, then starting Steam and launching Altitude.

If that doesn't work please send the files in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\altitude\log to support@nimblygames.com

it successfully launched so many times and i also tried rebooting my computer ,i sent the files

win7 ultimate 32bit.
recently there was a update in java

For some reason I'm not seeing your email -- please send your logs again to support@nimblygames.com with the subject "Altitude Steam Error"

You should also try reinstalling Altitude:
1) Restart Steam
2) Right Click Altitude on the games list -> Delete Local Content
3) Reinstall Altitude on Steam
