Default Not Diablo III ARPGs with co-op Thread

Perhaps slightly premature, but Aki mentioned this in the D3 thread. In addition to D3, there will soon be a large influx of ARPGs that offer co-op.

Off the top of my head this summer:
Torchlight 2 ($20)
Path of Exile (f2p)
Krater (~$20)

I'm currently planning on having accounts for all three of these games. If there is anybody else interested teaming up or discussing these games, here is the place to do it.

*Note: please don't turn this into a D3 v world thread. I meant this to be a thread for people who are not planning on getting D3, but some other ARPG and want to party up with other altitude folks.

I am super pumped for TLII going to pre-order when I get paid this week. I've looked into the other two a bit not sure if I would play path of exile and krater but definitely could be persuaded if we got a group together

Edit: Actually I probably will get all three...I am just lame and said otherwise.

I liked Torchlight 1, though it was kinda repetitive. I hope TL 2 will be much better, planning on getting it.

Fans of ARPGs should keep an eye out for Grim Dawn. The Kickstarter ended recently so it's a bit late on that but definitely check it out: a Victorian era/fantasy theme made by a few of the veterans behind the excellent Titan Quest series. Destructible environments, dynamic weather system, five skill classes (which you can choose two to combine) and an NPC faction system drew me towards almost supporting their Kickstarter account. Only thing that stopped me is nobody else seemed interested.

I didn't include Grim Dawn because I doubt it will be out anytime soon. Titan Quest was incredible and Grim Dawn (I hope) will be as good if not better.

SOOOOOOOO....I pre-ordered torchlight II (TLII) today woot woot. I actually bought the 4 pack. SO I have three copies of TLII and 4 copies of TL I to give away. Since the game is 20 bucks I want people who I give the game to to honestly want to play. So if you want a copy and I don't know you, then you will need to convince me heavily or offer a trade for the copy. I would prefer not to give the same person both TLI and TLII. If you have not played this franchise and would like to despite TLII including a lot of things that TL I does not have (mainly coop) but would like to try it and maybe see if the second one is worth getting then I would be willing to part with torchlight I copies a bit easier.

Dear Monsieur Darknietzsche,

I really want to play torchlight 2 (and 1 to a lesser extent). I played the torchlight 1 demo to completion three times and heared/watched alot about it though never actually bought it (I only spend like 60 bucks a year on games). While I would like a copy of it, I'm sure there are others that would get more from it and I don't want to get too tired of it just before the second one comes out. However, I would very much like a copy of TL2. You know that I am on mumble often and would gladly play with you and anyone else who had the game. I hope that you consider my request and choose me to receive a copy.

Cordially Yours,
"Sage" (You know my real name)
Also if you give me a copy I may refrain from bashing West Virginia for a short period of time

Hello DN, ( )

I'd love to play TI which is available for mac, so when TII comes out for mac, i know what i'm doing. I'm not sure if TI would really be that fun though because i'd have no one to play with, so if you have someone else better to give it to, give it to them.

Haro dem.

Thats point, why everyone so hyped about TL2. There is no coop in TL1.

Im already get TL2 as well btw. So count me in. Any news about release date?

In other news. Krater available to pre-order at Steam. You get beta-access, once you get it. Will be up at 12 of June. Coop will be added at 10 of June. Im going to preorder it soon. Who with me?
Funny part at Steamstore page:
No mandatory connection to an online service: For those who rather stay clear of online gaming and enjoy playing through the campaign in offline mode there is a fully supported single player offline mode.

I'm still at the beginnings of TL1. Far too early to know if I would be interested in playing TL2 as a group.
