I'll keep it simple:
We all know each other and have fun playing together. I say we keep our good attitudes and move it to competitive. I want to see how well we can do.

Ok, looks like the interest is there. I also would like to play competitive and I already have changed my tag to <T>. Now, who wants to head this up? What is our next step?

Your steps to competitive greatness (I'm assuming ball here):

• First, get your <T> clan page setup properly. See {ball} or any top-ranked ball clan for ideas.
• You'll want captains and/or co-captains to lead a squad. These people should represent your team in competitive play regarding map vetos, map choices, team composition, etc.
• Assemble your team.
• Now, competitive play is composed of, I'd say, 4 areas. I'll go through each one:
• Unofficial practice. Your players should be semi- or active in ball matches, including high skill level servers like Dojo, =AIR=, or Ladder.
• Official Practice. Grab an empty server (your own or otherwise). Practice, practice, practice.
• Scrimmages. Get with other clans and setup unofficial matches. Keep it in APL style (see the league discussion and rules). Do BO3/BO5 type matches with maps that would be played in APL (so no pegs, sideshow, etc.)
• Finally, the big one: SkyLeague for Ball, APL for TBD. This is competitive play at it's finest. You'll want to check the league section of the forums after reading the rules. When signups open, submit your roster. Typically play will be split into a season (you play every other team once) and then the top teams go to playoffs (double elimination). Doing well here can really boost your clan's image and membership. Even if you don't win, there are always benefits here. Plus, it gives you a great chance to play against excellent players and provides further opportunity for practice and improvement.

Hey guys. Here is something that makes a ton of sense to me. We vote on/decide on who are the "first string" players for each plane and who are the "second string players" for each plane. Then come game time. Whatever plane composition we decide to play.....the best string players available will start in each plane slot..

Here are my votes:

First String:
Randa - GFlare
Bomber - Jazz
Biplane - Dan Pare
Loopie - Irish
Whale - Harm

Second String:
Randa - Giz
Bomber - Beer
Biplane - Epsilon
Loopie - Hep
Whale - Ahab?

Other players can play positions as needed. It all depends on who shows up.

As for me - I play Randa (not TA) Bomber , Loopie and Whale fairly decent

15-20 is a good number of competitive players so we have room to be picky now.
