Default problem with headless linux installation

i'm trying to install altitude on a linux server with no gui in order to run the dedicated server. the installer suggests using the -c argument, but it has no effect:

Code:
queklain% sh altitude.sh -c
Starting Installer ...
Could not display the GUI. This application needs access to an X Server.
*******************************************************************
You can also run this application in console mode without
access to an X server by passing the argument -c
*******************************************************************
is there perchance a zipfile distribution i could use instead?

Have you solved this yet?
If not, what distro are you using?
The -c option works as expected for me under Arch.

I did, yes. Read above.

I think the error is about a flag from something the binary script is starting.
