Default Ball_Golf

Hi.
I thought about the fact that in every ball map i have ever played the goals were on the side, so I created something different
This is my first map.
Simply- 2 golf holes- 1 for each team.
The huge flags create a neturall spawn slope

I did some experiment on expert bots and i want to see how real humans play...
Is there a way load this map for a server or should I host my own server?

here is a link for the map's index:
https://altitudegame.com/map/mapDeta...3-e466ebd6d39c

Update 1:
-"golf ball" obstacles added.
-"golf club" ramp addded

Any ideas for improvements will be great

I will host your map for testing. It will be available on Ball Dojo II by 9pm Eastern Daylight time.

It will not be on rotation, you will need to /vote changemap in order to load the map.

I like the concept! Like football but with some actual features. Those flags look welcoming to some nice bounce shots.

Once Noval adds it, I'll give it a go. Hopefully we can fill up Bojo2 to see how it plays with 12 planes.

The map is up and running.

It is 3MB so everyone be patient with the download...

I will attempt to increase the download speed...

EDIT: JestServers (my server host for Dojo II & Tadow!) has the map download setting locked in the config, no increase is possible.

Suggestions:

-Close that spare distance between the flagpole and edge of map.

-Increase map overall height by 500.

-Increase "bounce" factor on flagpoles.

-Could use a few obstacles along the bottom. i.e. golf balls & tees just lying around... etc.

yojimbo! also suggested some sort of ramp on the bottom near the goals, so you could do more trick shots.

1. look at the update.

2. if the map is too heavy and wont run I'll just lower the graphic quality.
I made things like the ground pattern, the sky paralex to the golf balls and the clubs with "Blender" (2.67) and "Photoshop" (elements 8)
and upload them as PNG files- so thats probably the reason.
making stuff in external editors is faster then struggling with the polygram editor

Updating Map. New map will be available by 10:30am EDT.

Nice additions Bio!

EDIT: Left original ball_golf for comparison. Version 2 map was uploaded as ball_golfv2

This map is way way way too small. Maybe good for 3v3 at most, but also feels really cramped vertically.

I'll echo the suggestion to increase the map size vertically. I like the overall concept of it. I feel like the flag + pole are a bit too forgiving, maybe increasing the flag height w/ the overall height increase of the map might fix that, or possibly making the pole part of the background and having only the flag part of it in play.

A suggestion that I heard last night while we were playing that I thought was a good idea: maybe implement different green elements somewhere (likely in the background?), like fairway, rough, greens, etc.
