SL8 Post-Season Award Nominations

I know we've tried to do a sort of post-season award thing before but with the fantastic amount of video footage taken this season by Vanishing I'd like to give it a new shot. I thought that people might be able to nominate a few plays for "Best Solo Shot," "Best Offensive Push," "Best Assist," and "Best Defensive Play" for starters. If there's some suggestions to other categories go ahead and list them.

Obviously I'm going to spend most of my free time preparing and practicing for the SL Finals, so my current plan is to take nominations up to Sunday, sort through them with the help of a selected committee of Altitude vets (aka the Mumble crew), and get the voting up to be able to select the winners by the first week of April.

To start this off and to give an example of how I'd like nominations to be put in, here's one possibility for Best Shot:

Fartz, Vlix vs. BBQ, Winners Bracket Finals
Thinking about it, this might do better in a Luckiest Shot category.

Here's my favorite for Best Shot, such crazy control in a whale:
Hollywood, Ball vs. BBQ, Losers Bracket Finals

The losers bracket final video finished uploading a few hours ago.

Not the easiest awards to do since you have to have a good memory. Shame I was not able to do any highlight videos for SL8, but those take so much time to do.

If there are enough nominations here I can potentially make a video with the highlights. Definitely need a worst fail category.

On that note one of the only plays I remember from the season is a fail all the way back in round 1 during Ball vs arr.

My apologies Slender for enjoying a game mode you don't, I beg for your forgiveness. In fact, I hereby retire from ball because Slender prefers tbd. His comment has truly made me want to dedicate my life to enjoying everything Slender does.

Think I'm slightly biased, but I do really like Holly's whale goal!

Due to all these vids, might be worth trying to build a team of the league? Perhaps even a league all-star game v the SL8 winners for later?

Yeah, not a whole lot of free time Atm and what time I do have will mainly be practice and preparation for finals. Plenty of time for others to nominate plays.

In case there are still people curious about these awards, I have chosen too shelf the idea due to apparant lack of interest and assist Vanishing with his highlight video instead.
