PS4 & Xbox One

Who is buying? I have both reserved and picking up my PS4 tonight at midnight.

Personally do not play console games much at all anymore, but mostly buying as I am putting together a gaming website to hopefully launch within the next week or two.

Just picked up Battlefield 4, Killzone, and Call of Duty Ghosts. Not my top choice of games, but figure these will be the best for me to focus on first for the website I am making (which focuses on comparisons of game systems and games so will have articles comparing FPS in depth for the new consoles for example). Honestly I absolutely hate playing FPS with a controller, so hoping a compatible mouse like those from FragFx will be released for next gen soon.

Will try to pick up a wider selection of games for Xbox One since that allows recording over HDMI. PS4 will allow this but it will be patched in later and no idea when. Need to be able to make vids.

iirc you can plug your PS4 into your Xbone and record through that. Doesn't it have an HDMI input port?

I am not sure this will work but will try it out when I get the Xbox One. If you read anything that confirms this works let me know. Would be great if it does.

Apparently you could also buy a device that breaks that HDCP. You can get those for like 40 bucks + cables.

Planning on getting PS4 though I will wait a while till more games are out to justify the purchase.

I haven't planned on getting any other console since 2003 than the fat PS2. Last console I obtained was the DS Lite on Christmas the year Pokemon Pearl came out.

Planning on buying the PS4 but not soon.

Content with my 360 and Gamecube, at this point it's better for me to wait for the PS5 or whatever the hell the next-next-gen Xbox will be called

Then again, I can't see myself doing much console gaming in the distant future...

My PS3 is not that old yet plus I have lots of unplayed games on it.

I will wait at least a year or so before thinking about PS4.
