BBcode tags for post layouts not allowed

I didn't know where to put this, but here should do.

I was just wondering, why are so many BBcode tags ( [table]/[td]/[tr], [code], [quote] ) are blocked? laying out posts without them is difficult.

Still, it would be nice to have a way to have text rendered in <pre> tags ( I think [code] does this )

yeah, the groups do indeed have separate BBcode permissions
vBulletin Options > Social Group Options -> Allowed BB Code Tags in Social Group Messages

If it's not deliberately blocked, could this be changed to the same as the normal permissions? also the 1000 character limit in groups is kinda annoying

Ah I added those codes manually when someone else requested them. Looking at the admin panel I do not see any options to make them work in the social groups.

Doing a google search makes me think it's not possible with the default set up we're using. It might be possible with a plugin but this forum software is so out of date I don't want to mess with it and risk a plugin vulnerability/exploit.
