Community Points
Hi!
Since the game is Free To Play now I wonder why the skins still require community points to unlock, when there is no way of earning them other than winning a tournament. I bought the game twice to get community points, but that's no longer an option. Couldn't you just unlock the skins? Or implement another way to earn points? Or just give me some, so i can unlock the santa hat for all my planes, please? BR, Plauze |

Skins as DLC?
Every skin for a plane / all of the Santa hats for $2, total of $10. ...which would be enough for that $9 milestone for Steam Trading Card drops. Boom, income! -J |

I agree with skins as DLC. Why not profit from something that already exists that the people want?

At a guess, it would be easier to sell community points as a currency then it would be to setup the dlc purchase of each item. Buy x community points for $y.
OTOH, setting the skins up on steam for each theme (or every combination) would be the user friendly method. Those who haven't bought the game on steam would need an alternate method of purchasing skins. Edit: My 1024 post! ^.^ |

I think CP should be rebranded as "Nimbly points" or something else, and earnable if you ace. Every ace up to ace 5 you get 50 CP or whatever its called, ace 6-10 you get 10 CP and once you hit ace 10 you can "re-ace" ace 10 to get 10 CP. CP or whatever it will be called should be also purchasable in 20 CP packs for $0.99 or something.

Selling micro transaction currency in values less then what can purchase items for is a terrible idea that leaves a bad taste in people's mouths. It wouldn't be monocole gate bad, but it is really easy to do micro transactions wrong.

I didn't say that CP had to be sold in 20 CP packs, they could be sold in 100 CP packs or something.

So actually nothing is going to change for the situation where I cannot buy or earn CP (other than in tournaments, but even winning SL brought ridicilous 150 CP)?
I don't understand..Why are skins still unlocked with a system that is discontinued? |

Strangely enough, I was at like ace 4 and spent all my cp's on skins then just never looked at my hanger deck...then after I got to ace 10, I checked. Bam! I had like 300 cp's. So you must get some after you get to ace 10.

Thanks for clearing this up. I was internally debating if I wanted to finally be able to skin my Randa more than I like my ace 9 badge. I would have been very disapointed if I had aced up, and still stuck without enough cp for a skin.

Hmmm
But if they are discontinued, also the new players (free players (including me)) should also get those 300 CP to attract the players more to the game so they get the 3 skins they want to make it a more rewarding experience

You make a good point, but I think the 300 CP was more of a reward to players who actually paid for a game that is now free.

So simply, think of those 100 CP as a kick-start to new players like me or even newer so that the community doesn't die and stays alive for as long as possible I also strongly agree with Mango777. |

remove restrictions
the admins should just remove any restrictions on the skins already. it’s ridiculous and makes no sense since the game was opened up for everyone. surely they can find a bit of time for one more update to open up the skins.

For some, the CP for skins they win in leagues is the only thing keeping them going in playing 'competitive' altitude. Surly your not wanting to take away the one award altitude has to give in terms of leagues? |

Easily, so maybe what you could do is make them for a limited time again or something. Or at least give a somewhat new person like me who didnt play in time 300cp. Thanks......DarkSaber Last edited by DarkSaber; 07-30-2016 at 11:48 PM. |

[QUOTE=Glow;197025]ok maybe 300 CP is too much but at least give the free players (including me) 100 CP, take me as an example I want the Miranda Santa skin a lot but I just can't get it because they are discontinued or I have to win a tournament which is almost impossible for new players like me.
So simply, think of those 100 CP as a kick-start to new players like me or even newer so that the community doesn't die and stays alive for as long as possible That,or, i could do the whole SL thing, if you could explain how But please consider giving several hundred points to newer players( like me) Thx again |

I'm not sure how not giving a new player a skin will stop them from playing the game, however, there are things you (or someone) can do to get new players a skin or two. Such as the eleffie league I ran (which gotta be honest, somewhat of a cluster****) where some newer players got skins.
Having new players get a skin from day one gives no incentive for the player to improve if they are interested in altitude. If they want a skin, it shows that they would probably be interested in playing competitive altitude too - an incentive to get better. |

Nice, that's a good point, if u could do another ellefie league, that would be awesome!!!
It kinda stinks cause I used to play back in 2009/10 and stuff but somehow I lost it. I'm just trying to earn 2 maybe 3 skins then I'm good. I personally think that would draw more players to the game. Im trying to get my friend to play and I know he may want a skin or two.... Thanks a bunch fluff..........DarkSaber |

Nah I'm alright. You can make a league though once you've established yourself somewhat with the community. Like attend ladder games etc...

I'm not familiar with this. How do you win CP?

By joining leagues such as the upcoming APL. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place gets CP. The two most established leagues that happen on a somewhat regular basis are: SkyLeague (Ball) and Altitude Pro League (TBD)
Best way to get into the competitive community is by joining ladder games that mostly start around 8pm GMT everyday. By doing this, captains of the teams can recruit you to their teams which will most likely be participating in leagues. |

The only people who are able to give out CP are the game creators, karl and lamster. They often agree to award CP prizes for tournaments (such as SL or APL or fluffy's tournament), but even still they add the CP to your account directly rather than giving a bunch of points to fluffy (per se) for him to dole out. No one can simply gift you free CP; you have to earn it. And asking karl or lamster directly for CP would fall upon deaf ears. Last edited by Kafka; 08-02-2016 at 03:37 PM. |

Make friends in the game, start up a team, post a thread on here about your clan, and register for a league.
