I usually get 60 fps, but the past couple of days it's down to 30 fps. Can't figure out what changed.

I expect this is coming from your side, as the fps is based on your computers performance. It is possible that some of your options somehow defaulted to different values.

I would try some of the things in this thread to help you out.

In particular /testtargetfps (number you want for fps)

For example, just do /testtargetfps 60 and see if your fps increases while in game.
