Flamebreak - roguelike action RPG
We just released our latest game, Flamebreak, on Steam!
Trailer and Screenshots: http://store.steampowered.com/app/399640/ The game controls with WASD+Mouse and includes elements reminiscent of roguelikes, Binding of Isaac, FTL, and Dota/LoL -- if any of that sounds good to you please check it out and let us know what you think! Bought it today and i liked it alot, was very fun to play.
The only complaint i have is that I got stuck in some objects a few times while using the backstab i believe it was. Good job! |

Glad you like it! Hmmm that is frustrating about the backstab... it's hard for us to decide what to do here since we always want you to jump behind the enemy... |

I really feel that the main issue I am encountering in this game is there are times I get to the final god, to just be absolutely screwed because I did not build my character in a way that will condone a victory.
This mostly happens with Halarin, and that if I don't do enough damage or have a good set of skills then no matter how good I am at dodging and getting hits in, I will never win. I like difficulty and the balance is good, but feeling like no matter what I can't win no matter my skill level because of certain choices I made when I did not know which God I would face is a major flaw. Most rogue-likes will allow a players skill level to surpass the difficulty of a challenge. Welp, mike pointed out, I could see which god I would get...gg. Looks like you did a great job with this! I also appreciate the nice overview video, even knowing it was one of the smaller points of effort ^^
