APL/SL Interest

So since it looks like G00SE is MIA and no one else is stepping up to run APL/SL I've offered to just take care of it. As of right now I'd like to see what people are interested in for the next tournament, either APL or SL. If we do have APL I'd like to have at least 6 teams and start in mid to late August. Otherwise it'll probably be another SL starting around the same time.

I don't want us to stop playing TBD. There isn't enough for a six team APL but I would like to see small tournaments continue. These could be one day or last up to a few weeks.

Edit: I dont think its a good idea to start apl/sl in middle august...we should wait till september. August its vacation time for 100% of the students and 70% of the workers.

I love TBD, I really do but out of respect for the game mode and to not tamper with the quality it used to have, I'd rather have another Sky League.

The game right now doesn't see much players, it's been increasingly dying for the past years now and there's simply not enough people to setup for some decent TBD games, whilst there's still quite an interest in Ball as far as I can tell. Therefore, I think the right choice here is another (if not the last) Sky League.

have a tbd tourny but call it the titanic or something to avoid the ghostbusters effect of tarnishing our for some reason precious apl memories

then we can all clown around in good fun as was clearly intended when god made alti

The last APL had playoffs at the end of June 2015, then SL 12 started on the 9th of August. If August doesn't work out for a lot of people and they want it to start in September then I'm fine with that. I'm moving in August so it'll give me time to settle down. Registration will be opening on August 1st as planned, though.

I agree with this, but at the same time interest for TBD has been waning for a long time. Right now we're lucky to have TBD ladder run once a month. If there's not enough interest for a larger tournament (i.e. if there's only 3 teams) then a one week to three week tournament would happen and lead into SL registration afterwards.

Let me know what you guys think about the start time. Would you prefer it to start in early to mid September, or would you prefer mid to late August?

Also idea #2 since ball thing = skyleague we could call tbd earthleague it also works since tbd has been officially buried in the ground and left for dead, except for last night
