Default Network Upgrade

In the next couple months I'll be migrating from Paetec/Windstream to AT&T and doubling my bandwidth. The move to AT&T should improve latency overall, especially for International users as AT&T has extensive global coverage and hopefully will provide fewer hops. Additionally, the edge routers will be upgraded from from Cisco 3825's to 3945's.

Downside is the move will require new IP assignments, so when the time comes you'll need to refresh/update your server lists.

This applies to US Ladder, Proleague and Mike's minecraft server (which is really big now wtf).

'Bout time we had something like this. A ping less than 120 would be amazing (even though I'm in America)

Thanks phong.

Right now the circuits are due a month from today (11/19/12), so I'd expect some downtime shortly after, hopefully before the holiday weekend.

Server moved to 12.233.252.238, please update your lists.

There may be some hiccups during the first week as we work on the migration, so if there is any latency spikes or outages let me know.

Please let me know if you see improved latency, particularly in euro areas. Whoever maintains altitudeladder.com will need to update their dns records

I mean if there are any outages AFTER the move, IE after you've updated your list.

US ladder works fine, EU doesn't.
For me, ping has been about the same (~140)
Would the ladderpage be accessible with the ip address?

Phong does not deal with the EU servers I believe that you will need to talk to kolobos or nobo since I am not sure anyone else has access to those servers. Also, phong responded to why the website is down, and to my knowledge only nobo/maybe mike can update the dns servers. All you need to know is that the us server is still keeping track and the website will work once its dns is updated.

no but if you're really anxious you could add the following line to the bottom of this file, and just take it out later once it's up to date:
c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
