Seedings were done with the results from last APL, new teams were given random seeds after the other teams.
As usual a no show in preseason from a team that has no previous participations in APL will result in a DQ from the tournament.

That is correct. It is double elimination, so you may have to play and win against the same team twice.

Vipr's team was not registered because they only listed 5 players with the minimum roster size need to be 7.

In the end, it will be a group admin vote since they will likely not play in the playoffs, but as of now they have a group that I would consider to being able to show up, so I would support them if they wanted to play.

It starts at the same time as every APL sunday pretty much (says in the OP) at 2pm EST (6pm GMT)

So, I will be around about 7pm (GMT+1 / 7pm in Italy). But I think the right time for who are in Italy is 9pm (2pmEST+5+1+1 = 9pm in Italy, cuz DayLight Saving Time). I will warm up at least 1 hr. See y later MAD, and other playerz.

I dont understand why MAD had to play at 1 pm EST? These desicions were made without captains or so. I dont understand what kind of organisation this is? But this is not right.. even though its only preseasons!

I dont know who told you that you had to play at 1pm EST, but that was a lie. APL has always started and the OP has originally stated that games start at 2pm EST (6pm GMT). Please let me know who told you that you had to start earlier.

They misunderstood GMT to EST. EVo played them at 2 EST, 6 GMT

I watched MAD and eVo play at 2 PM EST. eVo won the first game then for some reason another match was played after that. Then again, at that time no one really knew if it was BO1 or BO3 so I think they were just playing out as if it was BO3.

It's called; other stuff to do. Don't worry about it though, this is the preseason. A test to see if the newer teams will actually be dedicated enough to show up so others don't waste their time.

You shouldn't be pointing your figer at KLF right now, as you know, you're replying to slender, not KLF. If you have a problem with it then PM him.

BTW andy, evo never played IV.

IV didn't play eVo because you decided to skip a round and play KLF. You may not have known this, but it's really not hard to check the bracket before playing. To correct for this, admins decided to move IV up a round to play the winner of KLF and eVo. I was willing to have a retroactive IV v. eVo match after we played KLF, but then people logged off.

Besides, it's preseason.

I have resolved the issue about time. Me and other players have complained about an error about the time we have played our match. I have found the error:

At the top of this page, as you can see, the time is indicated as "2 pm EST Time". That's WRONG. Because is not EST but EDT Time (!!!). This is the reason because I have complained before play vs. EVO.

1) EST time means GMT = EST -5
2) EDT time means GMT = EDT -4

So if I need to calculate the right time for a country (e.g. Italy in my case) it will be

1) GMT+1+1(for Day Saving Time) = EST -5 --> EST = GMT +7
2) GMT +1+1(for Day Saving Time) = EDT -4 --> EDT = GMT +6

Thus:
1) If EST = 2 pm ... in Italy will be 9 pm (2+7)
2) If EDT = 2 pm ... in Italy will be 8 pm (2+6)

Thus, you were all wrong!!! Because it is indicate "Pre-season at 2 pm EST" but actually you have got Day Light Saving, so, You have to wrote "pre-Season at 2 pm EDT". !!!

This is the reason why ... Seek, Mayo and some other MAD player join the server at 9 pm and not at 8 pm. But we were right, They "forced" us to play ...

I am not MAD about that (just a bit ...) cuz is a pre-season, but take in account for the rest of APL.

This is mt opinion, my personal point of view.

P.s. "DST" (Day Saving Time) it will end at 4 november 2012 (i think)

You can also see this "trouble" about the correct time in this way:

in Usa you have DST (Day Saving Time till 04.11.2012), so you have to put 1 hr more in a EST time and you obtain EDT time.

EST + 1 = EDT

Also, in USA you use 2 different symbols to indicate times (EST and EDT) but not in GMT time. You are actually in EDT time and not in EST time. For us, that we use GMT time we have to put 1 hr more for DST too (But we do not use another symbol to indicate this circumstance). So, you think to be in EST time but you are not, what you actually read in your clock is EDT. Till 4.11.2012 you should use "EDT" term and not "EST" term. Cuz if you use "EST" you should put 1hr more for DST ... this is the reason why we've come 1 hr "late". The true is that you all came 1 hr earlier ... :-O ...

While I could say things about the technicality, just assume that APL will start at 6 pm GMT every sunday unless otherwise told.
