What are all these weird extra sounds?
Tekkit has a ambiance sound generator that makes sounds based on your surroundings. I find it annoying and turn it off with F7.

What is that black mountain?
That's not a mountain. That's a volcano.

What is with my inventory screen? There is a bunch of stuff on it.
The stuff on the right shows the items that are in the game, and when you click on them, the recipe for that item is shown. You can also mouseover an item and hit 'r' to see how to make it or 'u' to see what recipes use it.

Does this server have factions?
No. They don't believe in mod packs, so all of their commands silently fail with Tekkit installed.

How do I protect my stuff?
When you place your first chest, the area around it becomes claimed by you. Using a stick you can see who has claimed what areas. Using a golden shovel you can alter your own claims (right click corner old, then corner new). See this video to learn about the mod.

How do I get home?
/sethome and /home

How do I get back to spawn?
/warp spawn

How can I get myself or a friend whitelisted?
Post in this thread with the name to be added. Then have a cup of hot chocolate or earl gray (actually, go ahead and have one for just reading this).

I haven't witnessed any inventory problems. Athaudia noted iron pipes changing their pointing direction on server restart. A simple protection mod is now on the server. Place a treasure chest to gain protection around the box. As you play, you gain more blocks (100 per hour), which you can expand your area by using a golden shovel.

Tried restarting it an hour ago, and it didn't work. Just tried again and it came online. I think it was the host side's problem.

<edit>The server outage was a planned upgrade of the OS of the host.

I've just now replaced one of my distribution pipes, and everytime I right click it now, my tekkit crashes :x, has anyone had this problem?

For some reason i cant log onto the server =O it say java socket timeed out or something. I cant even direct connect. Anyone know whats the problem?

henryhf17 and badbaseball320 just came into ark and my base and destroyed it all using some of their ee stuff... as an fyi.

edit: and now they're running around pretending like someone is messing with them while declaring they want war.

double edit: now they went to our other base that dre, me, and apa made and started taking all of our stuff there.
