Unable to Update
I'm running the Steam version on Windows 7.
When attempting to start the game, I see the 'Checking for Updates' dialog box, followed by the 'Connection Problem' dialog box. Selecting 'Configure Connection' leads me to this page: http://altitudegame.com/firewall?ip=...272&os=windows I've added the exception to the firewall and added the pinhole for port 27272 on my router, but I'm still getting the same error. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and that didn't help either. Is there anything else I can try? I see the following warning in the log file: WARN [2013-12-08 00:56:18,003] [main]: Launcher failed to load progress report from update\download\_update-progress.xml |

Take a peek at the port needed by Alti's update server...
This port needs to be open too. 31383 Here is a snippet from one of my logs: INFO [2013-12-08 10:46:41,657] [main]: Resolving update server vapor.nimblygames.com INFO [2013-12-08 10:46:41,761] [main]: Update server is 216.246.108.250:31383 A block on this port might be causing your issue? (I am also running a Steam version on Win7) |

As far as I can tell, the outgoing ports aren't being blocked by either the firewall or the router. I think the only reason the pinhole was needed was because my computer uses private IP space behind NAT. I tried setting another for port 31383 but it didn't help.
