Default Ace Instincts Buff Needed

Lets be honest AI is useless in competitive play, with my suggestion its a bit more usable. I suggest that only when you have no bars while using AI you are unaffected by emp or have a great reduction to the effectiveness of emp. Thoughts and comment would be appreciated

...unaffected by emp....so you've pretty much decided that the loopy, the only plane that has a shot at slowing down a randa rushing bottom lane in ball should have no chance at doing so.

with ace you have no energy to begin with, then you get emped... and now you are a sitting duck

I can't tell if you want AI Loopy's emp to fail vs an Ace Instincts pilot, or you want Loopy's emp to fail vs an AI Ace Instincts pilot.

I can't tell if he's serious about buffing it.

I'll put more into it as well.

So if you have no kills at all, you can pretty much just say "**** you emp" right? That is the most useless part to a perk. The extra energy recharge or cap, hell even flexi is better than that for anyone. Whether that be bomb running or anything.

It would be stupid to buff a perk but punish only one specific group of players (loopy players) because punishing a random group of players is like calling a random votekick on somebody. If we are going to buff ace it needs to be something that effects everyone, and not just loopy players.

the entire point of ace instincts is the fact that the more bars you get, you do much more damage. if there's going to be any buff of ace instincts it needs to be a buff in the amount of damage you do per vet bar. also, you shouldn't be solely thinking about sinstarplane, ace instincts sucks in the other planes, not just randa.

Rubber hull is a perk deliberately designed for new players, i doubt the devs ever thought players with some kind of skill would ever use the perk.

The rubberized hull: Reduces energy loss and turning debuff from EMP (from wall powerup or Loopy) by 20%.

An electric based attack having less effect on a rubber based defense? That makes no sense at all. But an ace pilot spinning out of the way of an emp that exploded right under him makes sense. That is skill.

ace should keep your bars in ball when you respawn because of a goal unless you actually die. resetting bars, especially for ace instinct users, in ball is terribly unfair and effectively eliminates that perk from ball.

I like that suggestion for ball. Players with AI only lose bars when a goal is scored.

I still don't see the reason to single out AI. Keeping bars sounds like something worthy to try. I'd like to know what went behind the decision to make the bars drop each volley. If it was because that is how despawn works naturally, then I'd like to see it with. If it was wanted for game balance or quick game style then I am more accepting of the bars being lost.

Though I don't feel a less aggressive player is contributing to a team for ball, I can see competitive teams trying half the team defensive with bars while the others push. Perhaps this is purely a whale buff.
